Heli Fishing
Some of New Zealand’s very best fly fishing is in the remote mountain ranges of the Central North Island. The helicopter is by far the best way of reaching these backcountry rivers. These pristine crystal clear rivers and streams are unspoiled and rarely fished. Here, the trout can often make it to trophy size. The breathtaking scenery, exciting dry fly fishing and thrill of the helicopter ride make for an amazing experience you will never forget. Overnighting is a great way to get two amazing days of heli fishing for the price of one.We have access to a number of private huts and some unbelievable fly fishing for both rainbow and brown trout . By staying overnight we get to fish two different beats of river. One below the hut and one above. This water is always rested for at least 5 to 7 days to give the very best fishing for our guests.
